WHAT ARE SATELLITES?

The satellites are the artificial man made equipments or machines that are sent to the space and it orbits around the sun or the moon. These are many kinds of satellites and there are used for different purposes. Some of the types are – Killer satellites; Astronomical satellites; Biosatellites; Communications satellites; Miniaturized satellites; Navigational satellites; Reconnaissance satellites; Earth observation satellites; Space stations; Tether satellites and the Weather satellites amongst the others that are launched from time to time.

The satellites are like any other machine that we use on the face of the earth with the difference that these are operative in the space and not on the earth to accomplish various objectives. It is mostly the developed countries which can launch these at a greater scale. Though, the benefits of the same could be used all across the globe as it is stationed in the space, thus is operative benefits would not be restricted to a particular geographic location on the earth.
